RiBBoN My RiBBoN

RiBBoN My RiBBoN

where shall I tie you today
what will you hold together
what gift will you embellish
what kite will you fly
what ballon will you capture
before it can fly

RiBBoN My RiBBoN
who's hair will you beautify
who's shoe will you bind
which button hole will keep you
what creation will give way to you

RiBBoN My RiBBoN
why are you in a jar
why are you on the floor
was the wind blowing
were you wrapped around flowers
you don't belong in a drawer

RiBBoN My RiBBoN
I will reuse you when your done
I can pass you over to a friend
I will give you more things to do
I will even love you enough to share

RiBBoN My RiBBoN
lets start the day
lets learn how to play
lets twist and twirl
lets learn to unwind
lets make friends with that ball of twine

RiBBoN My RiBboN
heres a bell for your tail
heres a sequin or two
heres a needle and thread
heres a pillow for my head
I can tie you on there
I can put you between pages
as I read a book
I can wrap you around a little black hook

RiBBoN My RiBBoN
there are many more jars
they have buttons and lace and shiny things
but today you are the centre of my little world
you inspire me to create and write down these words

RiBBoN My RiBBoN
I thank you
you might be a simple thing
but just look at what you can do

RiBBoN My RiBboN you became a beautiful bow !

Great art, wonderful words and you have a gift of connecting loose things that are really the fabric of what is really holding it all together. I am soo proud of you and your spirit drive. I think this is such a maturing and collective process that gives back without asking or taking. It reveals the person to look and make thier own mind up and decide if they want to contribute. And you give a forum for all to feel safe and belonging. Who loves you. We do!
